Religion
the thesis I have chosen for this project is that people of any religion can speak freely about what they stand for and what they believe in.
In this project I worked together with three other classmates. I designed the stickers and the rest had designed a poster, stamps, and t-shirts. We made everything in the same style and colors.
Final work
This is the end result and I worked out the sketches in Illustrator with the pen tool.
The colours are also used for a reason. Gold radiates luxury and gives security, white is light and purity, green stands for growth and fertility and blue stands for faith, truth and heaven. We have chosen to mix the colors green and blue, because otherwise it would look too busy and too many colors.
Sketches
I drew the sketches with fineliners.
I mainly chose Hinduism and Buddhism, because I wanted to keep everything in the same style, feeling and atmosphere. I have drawn many different illustrations.
Collage
Fist I made a collage in the style of religion.
I looked up the pictures on the internet and then I printed them out and I cut and pasted the most important parts.
The green, orange and gold colors are the most common, because those are the colors that often occur in religion.
Moodboard
With this mood board I have done the associations of religion in one image.
These pictures give the feeling of warmth, freedom and tranquility and I think that fits religion.
