One world
What is one world?
One world is the largest Dutch (online) platform for a fair, sustainable world. OneWorld publishes daily news, background information and interviews with doers and thinkers on the website, which is visited by 2 million unique visitors per year. In addition, OneWorld has various other platforms that deal with major current social themes, such as the energy transition, migration issues and sexuality.
Target group
The target group is for people who are interested in different cultures, identity, travel, the environment and a responsible lifestyle. They are positively critical, progressive and idealistic and willing to pay more for honest, sustainable products and services.

One world video
First, I show images of the life of refugees and the disadvantages. After this you will see videos of their flights to the Netherlands where they will be taken care of.
I made the intro and outro in After Effects, drew the puppets in Illustrator and the rest of this video in Premiere Pro.

The ‘O’ falls nicely into the ‘W’. That gives a safe feeling and the other ‘O’ falls out of the ‘N’, because the ‘O’ feels safe enough to let it go. The letters exude safety, so I didn’t do too much with the other letters otherwise it would look too busy.
Word brand
The color blue gives the feeling of calmness, confidence and security. I just didn’t choose multiple colors because then I would be too busy, too playful and come across as unprofessional. Blue also stands for trust, faith and heaven. It all has to do with security and refugees.
Color proposal
Here I checked which color best fits my brand value “safe”. Green stands for safe and red for unsafe. That is why I have used both colors in a proposal, because the refugees first have an unsafe situation and the intention is to make it safe in the end. The color blue represents trust, faith and heaven.

In most sketches I made a comparison from unsafe to safe, but also smooth movements that the letters come up alternately.

I made many different variations, but the logo has to be safe so I chose the round and playful letters because that gives the feeling of security.
